This is true whether you are a parent, a teacher, a principal, or the head honcho of the whole country. When the children grow up to be the best in the world, you are proud of them and proud of yourself for having some positve role in their upbringing. Their success is your success.

Of all those catagories, smart is the one that most people would say is the most important. We certainly have little respect for dummies, no matter how strong or good looking they are. We spend billions on education with the general idea of making our country smarter.

Nooalf will make your kids smarter.

If you've had much experience with computers, you know from eXasPerating personal experience what a hassle bad software can be. It doesn't matter how fast the processor is or how big the hard drive, poorly designed software will make it slow and unreliable, or, as you will often exclaim in anger, 'stupid'. The same machine with good software will be reliable, fast and 'smart'.

Unlike today's computers, our brains are able to sort through a lot of mixed up gibberish and make some kind of sense out of it. This is the only reason we can learn how to read and write in spite of the high level of disorganization. But it isn't helping us. Just like a computer, a brain with good software works better than one with bad software.

A child who could spell every word in the entire language after learning only the alphabet would be considered an amazing prodigy. With Nooalf, everybody will be able to do this. With our current spelling, it's completely impossible. Learning the letters of the alphabet gets you nowhere. Each word must be memorized individually. Regular English spelling is bad software!

The picture above shows how your children will 'learn to spell'. Each word must be memorized as an exact arrangement of letters. Knowing one, a dozen, or ten thousand won't help with the next one. Since there is no coherent logical structure, each little semi-random strand just drops into a growing jumble. After 8 years of mind numbing drudgery, the pile will be an unmanageable tangle 100 times this size, so it's no wonder the poor kids will forget how to spell words they read and speak all the time.

Each letter makes only 1 sound, and there are no rules or exceptions, so if you know how to pronounce a word, you know how to spell it. Learning these 34 letters will enable your children to spell any word they hear. It will also establish a logical phonetic structure in their minds that can be used to help classify all the ways sounds can be spelt in regular English.

Current literacy training methods rely entirely on brute force, rote memorization. Hooked On Phonics, Sylvan Learning Centers, Leapfrog, your local grammer school, NIFL and all the government programs can do NOTHING but dress it up and try to make it seem fun. No matter what, your children still have to cram this unruly mess into their precious minds before they can get on with the rest of their education.

All of these organizations are powerless to do anything because spelling has become falsely linked to intelligence and is more of a tradition than a functional technology. Nobody will risk being ridiculed for suggesting an alternative. They must provide the teaming masses with the services demanded whether it works or not. Getting Nooalf into your children's heads BEFORE they learn the old spelling is the only way to break the cycle.

Written language is one of the corner stones of civilization. Spelling is the material it's made of. The better the spelling system is, the better we are.

Parents will be judged by how far their children go in whatever career they choose. Teachers and schools will be judged by how successful their graduates generally are. The rest of the world judges a country by quality and quantity in every concievable category.

Beyond that, HISTORY will judge us all by how high we climb; how much progress each generation makes. Our decendants have to be smarter than us to reach higher. History will judge our CIVILIZATION by the results it produces.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

The problem we have now is that everything is written in regular English, so your kids still have to learn it. No matter how good Nooalf is, changing over is not going to happen any time soon.

This is a good reason to teach regular English, but not a reason to not teach Nooalf. It isn't practical for us to change immediately, but when our decendants are the common citizens, sports stars, teachers, captains of industry and presidents of the world, they will be able to decide that this onerous old tradition can to be retired IF they know there's a better way. In order for them to know this, they must learn the better way.
